The Problem
Tourism information for Siem Reap — like most destination cities — is scattered across Facebook pages, laminated flyers and out-of-date listings sites. Visitors ask one question ("what's actually on tonight?") and nothing answers it. The conventional fix is a listings platform with a database, a CMS, an admin team and a hosting bill that guarantees it dies within a year.

What We Built
A production SvelteKit site whose entire content operation runs through a Notion-to-static pipeline — editorial happens in Notion, AI assists with drafting and structuring, and the site rebuilds as flat JSON. No live database, no API keys, no servers to babysit.
- —Tonight, tomorrow, this week — a daily-featured banner and event grids answering the actual question visitors have.
- —218 venues, mapped — bars, restaurants and culture on an OpenStreetMap-based interactive map with clustering and filtering.
- —Editorial guides — long-form, AI-assisted, human-edited features on food, drink and culture.
- —Full calendar and fuzzy search — festivals, recurring nights, one-off events; search that forgives spelling.
- —Static-first architecture — SvelteKit 2 + Tailwind, content compiled to JSON at build time, deployed to a CDN. The hosting bill is effectively zero, which is why it will still be alive next year.
